For many years John worked as an announcer on Adelaide Radio including 5AD, 5KA, SA-FM, and Triple M and  Coast FM.

A Radio icon during the 80's John also compared countless public, private and corporate functions.

John was also the voice of the The Ken Oath Ockerstra Australia's first exponents of "ocker" Rock'n'Roll!

In a feature in the ADELAIDE Sunday Mail the song "Jungle Music" by John Vincent under the alias of Ken Oath was included in the Top 50 South Australian songs of all time at number 47.
